Students attend with a parent or caregiver.  Children absorb the target language through stimulating but gentle language immersion games, individual teacher-child interaction, visual aids, original LWFC vocabulary-building songs, tactile materials and more!  Tots playgroups build more than language skills. As youngsters handle toys and visual aids, they develop motor skills and coordination. As they participate and interact, they imagine, discover, and build social skills too.

Since 1973 The Language Workshop for Children’s approach remains the first and most respected method in children’s language educational play.  Part of The Thibaut Technique® magic is training teachers to blend laughs, emotional support, melodies, colorful props, and personal interaction into every lesson.  We capture a child’s attention and imagination so they absorb and retain the words and phrases they are hearing and practicing.  Every week children experience a mix of familiar routines as well as new songs, words, and phrases.

Depending upon the location Tots are 'All Together' with ages 6M-3Y in one class or in 6-20M or 20M-3Y groups.

The LWFC offers Languages for Tots in French, Spanish, Italian, or Mandarin Chinese.

Students attend with a parent or caregiver.  In Family Preschool the first 45-minutes offers a stimulating Tots structured play class filled with enriching activities and the LWFC’s original vocabulary-building songs, visual aid games, and more.  Family Preschool features a weekly Arts & Crafts project that teaches children to associate meaning not only by hearing, recalling, and speaking, but through their sense of touch too.  The second 45-minutes of Family Preschool offers traditional Preschool activities that develop fundamental early childhood skills such as self-confidence, imagination, reasoning, listening, creativity, socialization and motor coordination, such as story-telling, music, drawing, counting, movement, mime, free and organized play, and pre-reading.  Many parents choose Family Preschool to enjoy their child's company a little while longer.

Family Preschool is only offered at the NYC-Main location for ages 20M-3Y in French, Spanish, and Chinese.
