Students attend by themselves or with siblings.  When learning a new language, older children typically benefit more from instruction tailored to their individual level, learning style, and personal interests.  That is why we recommend private lessons for children over the age of 7.  Private lessons are the perfect learning environment for older beginners, who need special attention to build confidence and basic skills.  Advanced students may no longer benefit from a group class but thrive when the subject matter of the curriculum incorporates their own interests, such as history, sports, cooking, or reading.  To discuss private lessons please contact LWFC Director Francois Thibaut at 212-628.2700.
